Salinas Mayor Dennis Donahue announced during his annual state of the city address yesterday the critical need for residents and neighborhoods to get more involved as the city faces tough times ahead. Mayor Donahue went on to say grassroots contributions will be crucial as the city deals with budget deficits and fewer services while continuing to focus on promoting peace and prosperity. Donahue said he will present an overview of the city’s financial future at his annual budget address slated for March 19th and also called for community dialogue on spending.
