SAL. VEHICULAR MANSLAUGHTER CHARGE 01-27-11 19:40 a.v.

A Salinas man was charged with vehicular manslaughter after 2 men were killed during a November car wreck. Jorge Armando Rubio was initially arrested on suspicion of felony driving under the influence after a final toxicology report revealed there wasn’t enough evidence to charge him with a D-U-I. The passengers identified at the time of the fatal November 7th crash, 39-year old Alfonso Martinez and 37 year old Jesus Hernandez, were pronounced dead at the scene when Rubio crashed his 2005 Dodge pickup into a tree on Crazy Horse Canyon Road.
