The 10th dead whale to wash up on San Francisco Bay Area beaches since March, did so this morning near Pacifica. The whale was floating in the surfline near Linda Mar Beach. Since March, 4 of the whales have been determined to have died due to “ship strikes”, and another 4 from malnutrition.
These are not the only whale carcasses that have been spotted this year. In all, there have been 48 dead gray whales found along the coasts of California, Washington, Oregon, and Alaska this year….with 31 of those along the California Coast.
