From what we are hearing here at KSCO, local Public Safety Power Shut-Offs are likely to begin between 10 p.m. and 11:59 p.m. tonight. The areas of Santa Cruz and Monterey counties most likely to have their power shut off this time are the upper San Lorenzo Valley, Bonny Doon and the north coast, as well as the Aptos Hills…..and then down in the Palo Colorado area near Big Sur. P.G. & E. Expects to be able to check the lines and restore power within about 30 hours of the conclusion of the expected ‘wind event’.
