State Approves $8-million for Mty Co Hwy 101 Upgrade 10-22-20 17:16

The California Transportation Commission today (Thursday) approved more than $830 million to repair highways and bridges and improve the state’s growing network of pedestrian, bicycle and mass transit routes.

This investment includes more than $600 million in allocations for State Highway Operation and Protection Program (SHOPP) projects, Caltrans’ “fix-it-first” program aimed at preserving the condition of the State Highway System.

Monterey County will receive:

  • $8 million to upgrade the northbound and southbound Camp Roberts Roadside Rest Areas along US 101 near Bradley in Monterey County. This project will result in upgrades to wastewater and electrical systems.
