A Hollister man has been arrested for assault with a deadly weapon after he allegedly charged a woman with a metal pipe that he later swung toward a police officer.
Police were called to the 900 block of Monterey Street after a report of a man trespassing with a long metal pipe.
The suspect, identified as 61-year-old Kurt Stahl, was asked to leave the property and retaliated by charging at the woman who told him to leave and attempting to hit her with a pipe.
After being treated for minor injuries, Stahl was booked into the San Benito County Jail for assault with a deadly weapon, brandishing a deadly weapon, resisting arrest and trespassing.
