A man accused of kidnapping his daughter and hospitalizing her mother is surrounded by police in Santa Cruz. Authorities say they have been in contact with 39 year old Brian Sellen who is in an apartment on the 400 block of Second Street in the Beach Hills are of Santa Cruz. Sellen is believed to have assaulted the childs mother at a nearby motel at about 5 a-m. The mother is being treated at a trauma center in Salinas. Police are bring the suspects mother, Patricia Loe to aid in negotiations
