Salinas police say they are investigating the death of a man who died after an October assault.
Police say 58-year-old Robert Darryl Mooring of Los Banos was assaulted near E. Lake Street and Soledad Street in Salinas on Oct. 29th.
After some delay, Mooring was admitted to the hospital, where he later died from an infection and complications from the assault.
Salinas detectives want to speak to anyone who was in the area of Market Way and Soledad Street between Oct. 27 and 31 and might have seen something, including the attack on Mooring.
