Searchers say they have recovered the body of a Seaside man who died while skiing at the Heavenly Ski Resort near Lake Tahoe. 62-year-old Brett Herrick was last seen by his girlfriend around 11:30 Monday morning, Investigators say the body was found buried in deep snow about 100 feet off a groomed trail. The exact cause of Herrick’s death remains under investigation.
