A new rail carrier began operating on the Santa Cruz Branch Rail Line yesterday. Saint Paul & Pacific Railroad Company took over operations from Iowa Pacific Holdings and began providing freight service to existing customers on the line. Currently, there are four local companies that ship and/or receive via rail on the line. More business are exploring using the rail service. For more information, visit www.sccrtc.org.
