Dr. Joel Wallach

A biomedical research pioneer, Dr. Joel D. Wallach spent more than 40 years in the field of Veterinary Medicine, observing and researching the effects of individual nutrients on animal health, before becoming a Naturopathic Physician in 1982. Today, Dr. Wallach is renowned for his groundbreaking research on the health benefits of selenium and other minerals. He currently dedicates his time to lecturing throughout the world on the therapeutic benefits of vitamins and minerals, and on lobbying the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on behalf of the dietary supplement industry.

Dr. Wallach has been appearing recently with George Noory on Coast to Coast AM.

Dr. Joel Wallach begins the show discussing children's health. Asserting that couples should be on the 90 essential nutrients for six months before conception. After conception they should continue if the mother is breastfeeding. If not the infant should be given in tiny doses. This will ensure that the child grows up healthy and developes without health challenges.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article about an MD in Philadelphia. This doctor believes that a child can safely be given 5 liters worth of vaccines. Also recommending that children be given a whopping 9999 different vaccines. Doc disagrees contending that kids should not be given vaccines for things they most likely ever be exposed to in their lives. The article also mentions that forty years ago children got 5 vaccines (8 shots):diphtheria, petusis, tentanus, polio and smallpox by the age of two. Now they 20 by age 2 and get up to 50 before the age of seven.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article concering a link between heartburn drugs and infections. A metanalysis of 16 previous studies of heartburn drugs of nearly 8000 people. Those who took these heartburn drugs had a 50% increased risk of having recurrent Clostridium difficile infections. Recent studies have also been seeing increases in C. difficile infections in younger healthy people.
