Dr. Joel Wallach

A biomedical research pioneer, Dr. Joel D. Wallach spent more than 40 years in the field of Veterinary Medicine, observing and researching the effects of individual nutrients on animal health, before becoming a Naturopathic Physician in 1982. Today, Dr. Wallach is renowned for his groundbreaking research on the health benefits of selenium and other minerals. He currently dedicates his time to lecturing throughout the world on the therapeutic benefits of vitamins and minerals, and on lobbying the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on behalf of the dietary supplement industry.

Dr. Wallach has been appearing recently with George Noory on Coast to Coast AM.

Dr. Joel Wallach begins the show discussing obesity. Asserting that the U.S. is number one in the world in the percentage of obese citizens. Contending this is because people followed the advice of the medical industry. Stating that obesity is caused by nutritional deficiencies and bad diets.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss warning out from the FDA. This concerns a class of diabetes drugs known as SGLT2 inhibitors. Patients taking these drugs are at risk of the infection known as Fournier's gangrene. The extremely rare but life threatening bacterial infection under the skin in the area around the genitals. There has been 12 cases since 2013 the same year the drugs approved. There are 7 men and 5 women with one death.

Dr. Joel Wallach begins the show today discussing the most recent Florida shooting. Stating that all of these mass shooters were on antidepressant or antipsychotic drugs. Of which side effects are suicidal and homicidal thoughts. Also asserting that these people are nutritionally deficient.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article regarding a study from the University of California San Diego. The study of over 5000 women found that those with higher blood levels of vitamin D3 had a lower risk of breast cancer. In fact those with 38ng per m/l had a 21% lower risk of breast cancer compared to those with less than 20ng per m/l.
