Monologue

Dr. Joel Wallach begins the the show today discussing the importance of supplementation. Stating that it is not possible to get all the nutrients the human body needs to thrive through foods. Contending that plants only need three nutrients to thrive. But that humans need the 90 essential nutrients he has identified to thrive. Asserting that people also should change their lifestyle and stay away from bad foods such as oils and burnt meat.

Pearls of Wisdom

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article that outlines ten foods that can aid in weight loss. Some of the foods Doc agrees with and some he does not agree are good. The foods are lean meats, leafy greens, olive oil, avacado, eggs, nuts, water, vineger, salmon and oats. Doc doesn’t agree with olive oil (goes rancid), nuts (if stored improperly can get fungus), vineger and oats (both contain gluten). Contending people should stay away from the bad foods to add healthy years to people’s lives.
