Doug Winfrey and Ben Fuchs discuss a news article concerning a Danish study concerning heartburn medications. The study found a link between proton pump inhibitors or PPIs and ischemic strokes. Stroke risk overall was 21% greater than people not taking the drugs. Found stroke risk increased 33% for Prilosec and Prevacid, 50% for Nexium and 79% for Protonix patients.
