Flooding, Road Closures As Heavy Rains Fall On Saturated Ground

After years of praying for rain, Santa Cruz County has had more than its fill. Looking for something to bet on now that the Super Bowl is in the past? Try betting on whether 17 will stay open!

Take A Look At Some Local Flooding

A WOMAN, OUT TRICK OR TREATING ON HALLOWE’EN NIGHT, IS BEING CHECKED OUT FOR AN ADVERSE RESPONSE TO CANDY SHE INGESTED THAT NIGHT. THE UNIDENTIFIED 32 YEAR OLD SALINAS FEMALE WAS WALKING THE CREEKBRIDGE NEIGHBORHOOD WITH HER CHILDREN AND FRIENDS BETWEEN 5:00 AND 8:30 P-M. AS SHE GOT INTO HER CAR TO LEAVE, SHE ATE THREE PIECES OF CHOCOLATE CANDY AND BECAME ILL ALMOST IMMEDIATELY. AUTHORITIES SAY THAT HER SYMPTOMS OF PANIC, NAUSEA, CHILLS AND STOMACH PAIN ARE CONSISTENT WITH “ACID-BASED SUBSTANCES”, SUCH AS L-S-D.  MORE WILL BE DETERMINED WHEN HER BLOOD PANELS ARE IN.    MEANWHILE, SALINAS POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING HOUSES IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD  FOR ANSWERS.
