CAPITOLA COMMUNITY MEMBERS HAVE BANDED TOGETHER TO HELP A DISABLED MAN. SEVERAL MEMBERS OF THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY HAVE COME TO THE AID OF A DISABLED MAN THAT AFTER A CAPITOLA POLICE OFFICER PERFORMING A WELLNESS CHECK ON 65 YEAR OLD  GARY WILLIAMS FOUND HIM WITHOUT HEAT OR WATER AND HAVING NOT EATEN FOR 5 DAYS. THE OFFICER ALERTED A FRIEND WITH A PLUMBING BUSINESS ABOUT THE WATER, WHO PERFORMED FREE REPAIRS, AND ALERTED OTHER BUSINESSES, INCUDING AN INSURANCE COMPANY THAT IS FOOTING THE BILL FOR WILLIAMS TO STAY IN A MOTEL FOR A MONTH WHILE HIS HOME IS BEING REFURBISHED.
