A nearly 1-million dollar grant has been awarded to a Scotts Valley business. The California Energy Commission has given the $900,000 grant to Zero Motorcycle to launch a new electric power-train development project in Santa Cruz. The City Council approved a $175,000 loan to help the reported leader in the electric motorcycle industry obtain matching funds for the grant. The company plans to open a dealership along with it’s new research center in Santa Cruz.
