a friday evening fire in zayante went to 2 alarms in the 9500 block of zayante road. firefighters initially had to hold back from the blaze because of exploding ammunition. nearby loch lomond supplied water to a helicopter that fought the blaze. 2 air-tankers also dropped fire-retardant until it was safe for fire crews to get close to the fire. The fire destroyed a mobile home and 2 out buildings. 8 engines with cal fire crews from scotts valley, ben lomond, felton and zayante were called in to battle the fire.
