The money from a 1 million dollar grant, designed to support youth re-entry back into the community, will be used to provide 350 thousand dollars for each of the next 3 years to the “stable transition after re-entry” program in Santa Cruz County. The program build’s on the county’s leadership role on youth justice issues. Along with youth services being provided to those up to age 26 (who are incarcerated), the money will be used for parent/teen mediation, and a parenting program for parents (and other caregivers).
