A Watsonville man was arrested over the weekend after leading police on a brief vehicle pursuit in a stolen vehicle. A white Kia mini-van, which had been reported stolen out of the City of Santa Cruz, was spotted at a car wash on the 900-block of Main Street in Watsonville yesterday afternoon at 5:30. The driver of the van, 31-year old Andres Rios left the car wash shortly after another officer arrived on scene. Rios then led officers on a brief car chase before jumping out of the van and attempting to evade police on foot. Rios was arrested after a brief struggle on suspicion of vehicle theft and resisting arrest.
