A Watsonville man was arrested on Monday night, after calling police and asking them to do just that. 31-year-old manuel florez is accused of making multiple 9-1-1 calls just before 8 p.m. he was calling from a payphone on the 6-hundred block of Rodriguez street, and asked police dispatchers to send officers to arrest him. However, when officers arrived, florez fled. Police say he tried to fight with officers, who ultimately arrested florez for battery on a police officer, and other charges.
