Watsonville police officers arrested a 23-year-old man early Sunday morning. Jose manuel meza was taken into custody just before 3 a.m., after officers broke up a fight involving 7 or 8 people, in the parking lot at 62 union street. meza was arrested in a nearby alleyway, as he fled in his car. police say they found a loaded revolver in the car, as well as evidence of gang participation. He was booked into santa cruz county jail. The other people involved with the fight fled; [and were not located.]
