2-men were arrested in Watsonville yesterday, after leading police officers on a brief pursuit. An officer with the department’s gang suppression unit noticed a wanted man, in the passenger seat of a vehicle travelling on Clifford Avenue. He attempted to pull the car over, but the driver sped away. The driver, 22-year-old Shonn Montalvo, eventually pulled over, and he was taken into custody, along with his passenger, 23-year-old Robert Avila. Both men had outstanding warrants, and officers allegedly also found a loaded, stolen gun in the car. They were booked into Santa Cruz County Jail on several charges.
