Santa Cruz county released the work force report today and it contains some interesting statistics.
According to the report… fewer than one-third of Santa
Cruz county’s high school grads are prepared for college or a career. And overall, north county jobs outnumber south county jobs by almost five to one.
No surprise, the highest paying occupations in the county are computer and mathematical jobs at 77-thousand dollars a year.
The housing crisis remains an issue for county residents in their 20’s as the percentage of persons age 25 to 29 who remain living with parents or in-laws has jumped from 17-percent in 2012 to 46-percent in 2017.
