A Northridge woman suffered fatal injuries Friday night, and her companion was hospitalized after the 2 were hit Friday night on Carmel Valley Road. Stacey Paz, and Milton Pineda-Vaceres, were standing near their vehicle after a 9:30 p.m. non-injury accident at Rio Road, when a car hit their stopped car and pushed it into them. Paz was declared dead at the scene, and Pineda Vaceres was transported to Natividad Medical Center in Salinas for treatment.
