A 48-year-old woman was assaulted in salinas last night. The victim reported that 31-year-old joseph velasquez propositioned her for prostitution in the market street area, and when she refused, he stuck her in the head several times. The attack was stopped by the woman’s boyfriend, salinas police arrested velasquez nearby. He was booked into mco jail on multiple charges.
