The Monterey Outdoor Market will launch it’s first event at the Custom House Plaza in Monterey this weekend. The free 2-day event includes artisans and food booths and because of the size and configuration of Custom House Plaza it should be easy to socially distance from others. All vendors will be wearing facial coverings and all attendees to the market are also asked to wear facial coverings that cover their nose and mouth. All requirements from both the CDC and the California Department Of Public Health for farmers markets will be followed. The promoter of this event (which is currently slated to be held a number of times throughout the spring and summer) hopes to introduce live acoustic music and seating as time goes on….and those things are approved.
