A controversial fancy dinner at a swanky Sonoma winery causes a p-g and e executive to loose his job.
Mel Christopher, the utility company’s top gas executive, got the boot for entertaining p-g and e’s top customers at the silver oak winery just prior to cutting the power in Northern California to millions of customers.
Coincidentally, it was also the second anniversary of the deadly fires that charred Sonoma county… investigators say those fires were in fact started by p-g and e power lines.
P-g & e c-e-o Bill Johnson said the dinner was “insensitive and tone deaf.”
