DOZENS OF FIREFIGHTERS ARE ON THE GROUND BATTLING A WILD FIRE IN SOUTH MONTEREY COUNTY, WHILE MORE ARE WORKING FROM HELICOPTERS. THE CATTLEMAN FIRE BROKE OUT JUST BEFORE 4 P.M. THIS AFTERNOON, AND IS THOUGHT TO HAVE BURNED ABOUT 150 ACRES SO FAR. THE WILDFIRE IS CURRENTLY BURNING EAST OF HIGHWAY 101, NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF CATTLEMAN ROAD AND RED HEAD CANYON ROAD.
