WiFi For MPUSD Students 04-16-20 03:35 S.S.

Students on the Monterey Peninsula can now get WiFi access from school buses that will be parked in 3 places on the Peninsula.  They’ll be in the Lucky’s grocery store parking lot in Marina, the parking lot for the Target store in Sand City, and the Doctor Martin Luther King Junior School Of The Arts in Seaside. That means that families can park in those lots while the students access the on-line material they need for their distance learning.   The “Park And Learn Program” was created after Monterey Peninsula Unified School District officials realized there were as many as 700 families that don’t have internet access at home.  The WiFi will be available from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, for the rest of the school year.
