A recently naturalized citizen won the iconic Wharf-To-Wharf Race yesterday. Anthony Rotich won the 6 mile race with a time of 27 minutes and 32 seconds. Runner-up Simion Chirchir of Kenya, and third-place finisher Amanuel Mesel of Eritrea, were clocked with identical times of 27 minutes and 34 seconds, while wilson kibogo of Kenya placed 4th in 27 minutes and 35 seconds. The women weren’t far behind with 1st place finisher Vicoty Chepngeno, coming in with a time of 30 minutes and 3 seconds. Just 30 seconds later, Margaret Wangari grabbed 2nd place, and at 31 minutes and 19 seconds Pamela Cherotich. All 3 women are from Kenya.
