A NEW LOOK IS COMING TO THE FAR END OF THE SANTA CRUZ MUNICIPAL WHARF. A PROPOSAL HAS BEEN MADE FOR A LARGE NEW RESTAURANT AND REPLACING OLD, ROTTED PILINGS THAT HAVE PUT THE WHARF IN A PRECARIOUS STATE. AFTER 50 YEARS ON THE WHARF ANDY’S BAIT AND TACKLE SHOP IS SLATED TO BE REPLACED BY A NEW CAPE COD CRAFTSMEN STYLE RESTAURANT. There is no time frame for when Andy’s will be demolished or the pilings replaced, according to Bonnie Lipscomb, the city’s Economic Development director.
