the santa cruz department of PARKS and recreation has INSTALLED TRAINING aids for athletes. the department has placed markers along the 2 and a half mile path that stretches from above the wharf to natural bridges state park. the colored markers are placed a quarter mile apart so that athletes can accurately track their pace. the training aids are expected to last for years and cost the city about a thousand dollars.
