a man survived after falling onto rocks on the beach near west cliff drive yesterday afternoon. by the time santa cruz firefighters and a state parks lifeguard arrived, the man had left the scene. witnesses reported that the man had fallen from the cliff and simply walked away. the extent of the victim’s injuries were unclear to first responders.
