the lawsuit filed by an aptos man against wells fargo and u.s. bank has been settled out of court. ron ward filed a lawsuit against the banks claiming that his aptos home was wrongfully foreclosed on last year. ward and his wife had signed a mortgage deal with wells fargo in 2005, three years later the couple couldn’t afford the payments, and stopped paying to qualify for a loan modification. after an offer was made by wells fargo, ward made monthly payments for 3 months before being threatened with an eviction notice. the home had been sold at a FORECLOSURE auction. the details of the settlement have not been released.
