Environmentalists were on the move in downtown Santa Cruz yesterday… against Wells Fargo bank
“The Santa Cruz Climate Action Network” began a protest at the farmer’s market and proceeded to Wells Fargo on River Street. The Climate Action Network says Wells Fargo and chase bank are increasing their investments in oil companies, which are directly affecting climate change.
Wells Fargo responded to the protest with this comment, quote:
“Wells Fargo has committed $200 billion in financing through 2030 to businesses and projects that support the transition to a low-carbon economy.”
