The Watsonville youth that was killed on Wednesday has been identified. Friday, authorities released the name of the victim, 15-year-old Jason Reyes, a known gang member, was gunned down while riding a bike near Airport Boulevard and Ross Road. The shooting appears gang related, and is believed to be connected to a shooting near Bowker Road earlier in the day. This was Watsonville’s sixth gang-related homicide of the year and eighth total. Last year the city had three homicides.
