Watsonville Police arrested a 13-year-old boy last night for stealing a car. Just before midnight, officers were dispatched to the 200 bloack of Riverside Drive to investigate a reported theft. Patrolling officers then spotted the stolen white Toyota headed north on Freedom Boulevard, and attempted to pull it over. The vehicle did not stop, and a chase ensued until the driver crashed at the dead end of a street and he and a passenger fled on foot. A 13-year-old boy was found at a nearby apartment complex and was determined to have been involved with the vehicle theft. He was found to be in possession of burglary tools, was wanted after escaping from a court ordered placement home. The other suspect was not located.
