Watsonville detectives arrested a man suspected of stealing a purse last month. Officials say that 57 year old Jeffery Ramirez posed as a pan handler when he snatched a purse containing a businesses large deposit on August 20th. Ramirez then fled to an awaiting get away car before fleeing the area. On Friday detectives apprehended Ramirez at his Salinas home, he was then booked into Santa Cruz County Jail on multiple charges.
