Watsonville police are investigating an assault with a deadly weapon. At about 6:20 p.m. Saturday, Officers responded to Watsonville Community Hospital after being notified of an assault victim. Authorities say although the victim was uncooperative it is believed he was attacked with a hammer in the area of East Beach and Main Streets. Anyone with any information is encouraged to contact the Watsonville police.
