The Watsonville Police Department set up a detour on Main Street Saturday afternoon. Traffic was re routed away from the Ohlone Parkway and Main Street area as police negotiators dealt with a distraught man on top of his SUV. Authorities say that the man ended the standoff peacefully shortly after 3 p-m, and was transported to an area hosptal for a mental assessment.
