A search is under way for a parolee who led officers on a high speed pursuit Saturday in the Watsonville area. Police say the 4:20 p.m. incident occurred on Southbound Highway 1 near Mar Monte as CHP officers were chasing the man in his 30s, while reaching speeds up to 100 MPH. Police later recovered a loaded revolver which the suspect allegedly through out his car window. The chase was called off due to safety reasons, however the suspect was spotted a short while later on Airport Boulevard in Watsonville when he fled and has not since been found.
