2 watsonville men were arrested early this morning on suspicion of vehicle theft. santa cruz county sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of a carjacking on halohan road. two suspects had approached a truck that was attempting to turn around near a field, before one of the suspects punched the driver in the face and demanded the vehicle. watsonville police engaged in a short chase, at which point 20 year old saul aldana and 22 year old edwin gutierrez were arrested. both were booked into santa cruz county jail.
