2 WATSONVILLE BROTHERS WERE ARRESTED ON DRUG CHARGES LAST WEEK. A WATSONVILLE POLICE OFFICER PERFORMING A ROUTINE TRAFFIC STOP FOR A VEHICLE CODE VIOLATION, UPON BECOMING AWARE THE DRIVER WAS ON PAROLE WITH A SEARCH AND SEIZURE ORDER. THE OFFICER SEARCHED THE CAR UNCOVERED A HIDDEN COMPARTMENT WITH 2 OUNCES OF DRUGS. IT WAS DETERMINED THE 2 MEN IN THE CAR WERE BROTHERS AND SHARED A COMMON ADDRESS. A SEARCH OF THE ARBOL DRIVE DWELLING TURNED UP IN EXCESS OF 3 POUNDS OF METHAMPHETAMINE, OVER 5 THOUSAND IN CASH, AND A HANDGUN. JOSE AND MARCO FERNANDEZ WERE BOOKED INTO SANTA CRUZ COUNTY JAIL ON DRUGS AND WEAPONS CHARGES.
