a watsonville man was arrested friday night. watsonville police stopped a truck for expired tags near the intersection of main street and riverside drive. the officer smelled marijuana and a search of the vehicle turned up a sharpened screwdriver, brass KNUCKLES, 3 grams of marijuana, and a loaded pistol. 43 year old alejandro fernandez was booked into santa cruz county jail. fernandez is a known gang member.
