2-people were rescued from nearly the same spot near a davenport beach, in 2-separate incidents this week. On Sunday, a 22-year-old Turlock man fell into the water near yellowbank beach, and could not climb out. Santa cruz lifeguards and other emergency repsponders were able to rescue the man, who was not injured. Then, yesterday(mon), a 21-year-old southern California man also became stuck, in nearly the same place. He was also rescued without injury. Lifeguards say the victims’ friends did the right thing by calling 9-1-1, and not trying to rescue them alone.
