State officials announced yesterday that arrest warrants have been issued for 17 members of what they described as a snatch-and-grab robbery gang that has been targeting Apple stores across California. One of them in Monterey.
Attorney General Xavier Becerra said the individuals were responsible for Apple retail stores robberies in 19 counties that resulted in the loss of over $1 million.
Police allege that those charged entered the stores in large groups wearing hoodies and snatching products on display before quickly fleeing.
