watsonville city officials and community members gathered on saturday to celebrate the watsonville fire department’s 150 years of service. 3 historic vehicles were displayed, including the city’s first motorized fire engine that was used from 1915 to 1945. fire station 1 on second avenue was converted to a museum in 2001, which now houses artifacts from the department’s history.
