Additional victims are being sought after a Watsonville farmer has been charged with sexually assaulting a woman looking for possible employment opportunities in agriculture. 60-year old Manuel “Juan” Cobarruvios Alvarez was arrested after a woman who was looking for work at Alvarez Farm on Melody Lane, claims Alvarez took her to a secluded area and sexually assaulted her. Alvarez was arrested on October 4th on multiple charges including sexual assault to commit rape, and sexual battery.
