a plan to beef up security at a watsonville park was approved by the city council at their meeting on tuesday. the height of a fence at the park will be increased from 6 feet to 12 feet, and video cameras will be installed at a handball court that is known as a gang hangout. the safety project is expected to cost 35-thousand dollars and be funded through watsonville’s park development impact fund.
